This plugin can read and write 8-bit and 16-bit SGI (Irix RGB) format files with any number of channels, uncompressed or RLE compressed (see The SGI Image File Format).
It is robust in the face of damaged input files, and will usually recover an image despite corruption in RLE tables, or image data. Header corruption may prevent opening, however.
Works with all common Photoshop platforms (Mac 68K, Mac OS and OS X on PowerPC & Intel, Windows) and versions (tested with 3.0-7.0, CS2, CS3).
